Job summary

Boston Tea Party is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead one of our kitchens in the UK. You’ll own everything in the kitchen—from people and food to standards and numbers—driving cooking from scratch, training your team, and keeping the guest experience at the heart of every service.

You’ll work daytime hours with a supportive GM, focus on food safety and efficiency, recruit and develop chefs, and help grow the café into a brilliant place to work and a pride for its community.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen and developing a team to deliver high standards.
• Strong focus on food safety, cleanliness and kitchen standards.
• Ability to manage ordering, stock, labour and waste with a commercial eye.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a brilliant kitchen team.
• Set the pace during busy services and cook alongside your team.
• Ensure every plate leaving the kitchen is high quality.
• Recruit great people and develop your chefs to progress.
• Manage ordering, stock, labour and waste with a strong commercial eye.
• Maintain brilliant food safety, cleanliness and kitchen standards.
• Work closely with the General Manager to grow the café and guest experience.
• Create a kitchen culture where people feel supported, challenged and excited to come to work.
• Take ownership when things don't go to plan and find ways to improve.
