Job summary

ROSES 1951 in Doncaster is seeking a passionate Chef to join our daytime kitchen team. You will prepare and cook our breakfasts and plated dishes, ensuring consistency, cleanliness and high presentation standards.

We value pride in quality, teamwork and genuine hospitality, with a schedule Tue-Sat 7:30am–4:00pm and weekend availability essential. Experience in a fast-paced kitchen and ability to contribute ideas for new dishes is desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous chef or professional kitchen experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook our breakfast menu to a consistently high standard.
• Complete daily food preparation and ensure the kitchen is fully prepared for service.
• Assemble signature platters, side dishes and other menu items with exceptional presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workstation throughout the day.
• Follow food hygiene, allergen and health and safety procedures at all times.
• Work safely and responsibly to minimise the risk of cross-contamination.
• Maintain excellent stock rotation and organisation while helping to minimise food waste.
• Carry out quality control checks to ensure every dish leaving the kitchen meets our high standards.
• Contribute ideas for seasonal menu development, daily specials and new dishes.
• Work closely with the wider team to deliver a smooth, efficient and enjoyable service.
• Maintain a consistently high standard of food preparation, presentation and kitchen cleanliness.
