Job summary

Cygnet Healthcare is seeking an experienced Day Support Worker to join our team at Cygnet Morgan House. You will work 42 hours per week, day and night shifts from 19:45 to 08:00, including alternate weekends, to support residents with learning disabilities in a 5-bed independent living home.

You will be an excellent communicator and team player, capable of providing physical and emotional support, safeguarding residents, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in support setting with learning disabilities (1 year+).
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Caring, energetic, and able to provide a stimulating environment.
• Passionate about empowering service users to independence.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all residents.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn individual needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs.
• Report on medical and welfare needs as required.
• Safeguard all patients.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment.

You'll be working 42 hours a week, day shifts from 19:45pm until 08:00am, including alternative weekends, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Morgan House.

Morgan House is a 5 bed, independent living residential home. A support home that offers a safe and comfortable environment that helps residents to meet personal goals and to fulfil their lives.
