Job summary

Cygnet Healthcare is seeking a Day Support Worker to join our team at Cygnet Morgan House. The role covers 42 hours per week with day shifts from 19:45 to 08:00 and alternating weekends, delivering person-centered care to residents.

Morgan House is a 5-bed independent living home focused on safety, goals, and wellbeing, offering a supportive environment to help residents fulfil their lives.

Qualifications

• Driven with a desire to make a real difference in people’s lives.
• Experienced for 1 year plus in a support setting working with learning disabilities.
• An excellent communicator and a good team player.
• Caring and understanding with the energy to provide a trusting, stimulating environment.
• Passionate about empowering and supporting service user independence.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals' specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs.
• Report on medical and welfare needs as required.
• Safeguard all patients.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all.
