Job summary

Cygnet Long Eaton Day Service is seeking an experienced Bank Support Worker to join our team. You will work flexible bank hours (days Monday-Friday) supporting people with learning disabilities and complex needs in a calm, caring environment.

We value excellent communication, teamwork and a commitment to safeguarding. Successful applicants will undergo an enhanced DBS check and receive full training, with a range of benefits and a contributory pension.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ experience in a support setting with learning disabilities.
• Excellent communicator and good team player.
• Caring and understanding with energy for a varied environment.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs.
• Report on medical and welfare needs as required.
• Safeguard all patients.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all.

Cygnet Healthcare is looking for an experienced Bank Support Worker to join our team working at Cygnet Long Eaton Day Service. We specialise in supporting individuals with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, in addition to those with complex health needs, physical disabilities and those with autism. We have a long history of enhancing the quality of life of the individuals who attend the service.

You’ll be working flexible bank hours a week (days shifts Monday-Friday), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Long Eaton Day Service.
