Job summary

Cygnet Healthcare is seeking an experienced Support Worker to join the team at Cygnet Morgan House. You will work 40 hours a week on day shifts, including alternate weekends, providing practical and emotional support to residents in a safe, caring environment.

Morgan House is a 5-bed independent living home focusing on personal goals, empowerment, and safeguarding. The role emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork, and maintaining a clean, supportive atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Driven with a desire to make a real difference in people's lives.
• Experience for 1 year plus in a support setting working with learning disabilities.
• Excellent communicator and a good team player.
• Caring and understanding with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment.
• Passionate about empowering & supporting service user independence.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
• Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical & welfare needs.
• Report on medical & welfare needs as required.
• Safeguard all patients.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all.
