Job summary

Roseberry Care Centres is seeking a devoted Care Assistant for our Hylton View Residential Home in Sunderland. You will support residents with personal care, meals, and social activities to promote independence and dignity.

We value kindness, inclusivity and a people-first approach. Ideal applicants have an NVQ2 in Adult Health and Social Care and at least 1 year's care experience, with strong communication and empathy to join our friendly, growing team across 25 homes.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, listening and empathy skills.
• NVQ2 in Adult Health and Social Care required.
• Minimum 1 year of care experience preferred but not essential.

About the role

Your Role:

As a Care Assistant you will support our residents in their day to day lives including providing personal care, social activities, and meals times to promote independence and maximise their quality of life.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Assist with washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care

• Help with mobility and transfers

• Offer companionship and a friendly presence

• Support mental and emotional well-being

• Observe and report changes in a client’s physical or emotional condition

What We’re Looking For:

• Ideally have an NVQ2 in Adult Health and Social Care

• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in Care although this is not essential

• Excellent communication, listening and empathy skills

• A genuine passion for elderly care and team development

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
