A leading data consultancy in the UK is looking for an experienced Data Strategy & Governance Lead to deliver strategic data maturity improvements. You will manage end-to-end assessments, align stakeholders, and produce insightful reports. The role requires strong knowledge in data governance, the ability to facilitate workshops, and expertise in using Power BI for visual storytelling. This position is remote, offered at £650 Inside IR35 for a 5-week contract with a January start date.

An industry-leading data consultancy is seeking an experienced Data Strategy & Governance Lead to deliver a structured, insight-driven data maturity engagement for a key client. You will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic direction, leading discovery, and producing high-quality, evidence-based outputs that guide long-term data maturity improvement.

As the Data Strategy & Governance Lead, you will take accountability for delivering the end‑to‑end assessment—ensuring stakeholder alignment, methodological rigour, and clear, compelling storytelling that translates complex insights into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities & Experience Required

• Data governance frameworks & data maturity models (incl. public sector best practice)
• Strategic consultancy & leading complex data-focused engagements
• Facilitating discovery workshops across diverse stakeholder groups
• Analysis & synthesis of qualitative and quantitative data
• Power BI for visual storytelling and dashboard development
• Producing high-quality written reports and clear Now / Next / Later recommendations
