Job summary

Portsmouth City Council is seeking a Data Intelligence Adviser to support Best Start in Life strategy, Best Start Family Hubs and Healthy Babies programmes. You will lead data and intelligence for services, developing information needs and sustainable data solutions.

You will merge data from systems, identify trends, and present findings to diverse audiences while designing dashboards and regular intelligence reports. Hybrid working is available with office attendance required.

Qualifications

• Experience in data, statistics, information management or systems management.
• Strong database management and data-quality improvement experience.
• Advanced Excel skills for analysis and presentation.
• Ability to explain complex data through reports, presentations and discussions.
• Confidentiality, data protection and information security awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead on data and intelligence for designated services and develop data solutions.
• Combine information from multiple systems, identify trends and present findings clearly.
• Design and maintain high-quality data products to support resource decisions.
• Develop Best Start in Life dashboards and produce regular intelligence reports.
• Lead quarterly validation and submission of impact returns to government departments.
• Contribute to annual impact reporting and establish data-sharing agreements with partners.
