Job summary

Oldham Council is seeking a Senior Intelligence and Data Analyst to join the Education Intelligence team in Oldham. Hybrid at Spindles, George Street Oldham, you will craft dashboards and forecasting tools using Excel, PowerBI, SQL and Fabric to support SEND insights for children and young people.

The role focuses on delivering national SEND reforms with robust reporting and evidence to inform decision making, across health and education partners.

Qualifications

• Experience of data analysis and interpreting statistical data in a large complex organisation.
• Knowledge of synthesising and analysing large and complex multi dimensional data from multiple and differing sources where data is not always compatible or comparable.
• Experience of presenting intelligence/insight in a range of formats to meet the needs of different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Produce dashboards, analyses and reports for a range of stakeholders, for effective reporting and decision making.
• Develop forecasting and other tools to improve our understanding of future trends, or the impact of change programmes.
• Build relationships with colleagues across SEND and Education, but also with wider partners in health and other organisations, acting as a key adviser on issues of intelligence, insight, data collation and quality.
• Ensure the Council fulfils its statutory and other obligations regarding data and statistical returns providing robust, accurate and consistent data and evidence.
