Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is seeking a Data Centre Technical Manager in London to lead technical operations and the campus infrastructure. The role requires detailed knowledge of building services, risk management, and supervision of engineers to maintain high reliability.

You will work closely with the Senior Technical Manager, ensure compliance with safety and CBRE processes, and drive training of the team to uphold engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Electrician with recognised qualifications (apprenticeship, HND, C&G).
• 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations - essential.
• Previous experience in operating data centres/critical environments.
• Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols.
• Understand the monitoring of utilities and environmental programmes.

Responsibilities

• Manage own time and allocate works to other team members.
• Manage cost related to delivery of maintenance activities (specialist and self-perform).
• Ensure client services, data rooms, networks, and SLAs meet requirements
• Provide technical management reports as required.
• Provide Technical Support and Leadership to building Engineers
• Escalate urgent issues and support incident management.
• Audit technical paperwork including switching schedules and SOPs.
• Lead training and development of the engineering team.
