Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the data centre engineering team at the London campus. You will ensure 100% availability of critical and non‑critical services, manage risk and drive safe, compliant operations under CBRE H&S standards.

You will mentor engineers, oversee switching schedules, and prepare technical paperwork. Experience with HV/LV, confined spaces, and CBRE platforms like Quantum is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Electrician with recognised qualifications (apprenticeship, HND, C&G).
• 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations - essential.
• Experience operating data centres/critical environments.
• Knowledge of emergency response/standby and call-out protocols.
• IOSH or equivalent H&S training.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Management experience essential; capable of coaching engineers.
• HVAP with demonstrable experience for SAP level appointment.

Responsibilities

• Able to manage own time and allocate works to other team members.
• Manage costs related to maintenance activities and services.
• Ensure all client services and networks meet SLAs.
• Provide technical management reports and leadership to engineers.
• Escalate and manage incidents; participate in site meetings.
• Lead training and development of the on-site engineering team.
• Oversee CBRE platforms and ensure risk radar stays updated.
• Ensure compliance with CBRE safety procedures and permits.
