Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the on-site technical services in London. You will be the primary contact for all maintenance delivery, planning resources, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental programmes.

You will manage a team of technicians, coordinate subcontractors, and drive continuous improvement while overseeing budget adherence and service delivery excellence for the client.

Qualifications

• Engineering background and competency to estimate labour hours, material requirements and trades.
• Excellent analytical skills to support maintenance planning and improvement.
• Strong organisational and planning capabilities for complex site operations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and keep them progressing to completion.
• Clear written and spoken communication across teams and clients.
• Experience leading a team of technicians and coordinating subcontractors.
• Knowledge of EHS requirements and safety processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings; can sketch/redline as needed.
• Familiar with work order systems, planning, scheduling and storeroom processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure site technical services comply with health, safety and environmental programmes.
• Act as Technical Services point of contact for all activities and provide technical support to CBRE team and client.
• Manage a team of technicians to deliver services, maximise self-performed work.
• Supervise specialist subcontractors, ensuring compliance with programmes.
• Be the Maintenance Excellence Champion, driving continuous improvement.
• Assist Site Leader in managing budgets aligned to service lines.
• Provide solutions and quotations for small project works.
• Identify opportunities for increased scope and additional services.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs when required, including emergencies.
• Manage on-site technical service delivery.
