Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in London is seeking a Data Centre Technical Manager to lead technical operations of the campus and its infrastructure, ensuring 100% availability and safe, compliant engineering practices.

You will coordinate with the Senior Technical Manager, train engineers, manage permits and risk assessments, and act as the technical reference point for safety, documentation, and client-facing meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing data centre critical environment and building services systems.
• Ability to lead technical teams with a risk-focused approach.
• Strong understanding of safety, risk assessments, and permit to work processes.

Responsibilities

• Able to manage own time and allocate works to other team members.
• Able to manage cost related to delivery of maintenance activities (specialist and self-perform).
• Ensuring all client services, computer rooms, data networks, manufacturing and revenue earning services meet client requirements or appropriate SLAs.
• Provide technical management reports as required.
• Provide Technical Support and Leadership to the building Engineers.
• Form Part of the Escalation chain for any unforeseen incidents and site issues, in and out of hours - providing technical support and leadership.
• Support critical environment related technical audits.
• Responsible for ensuring all critical related engineering maintenance documentation/records are kept in clearly identified and retrievable systems.
