Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) seeks a Technical Manager in London to lead the technical operations of the Data Centre and its campus infrastructure. You will ensure safety, 100% availability, and compliance, while mentoring engineers and coordinating with the client on critical environment requirements.

The role emphasizes risk-based leadership, training, and the creation of robust safety programs and documentation to support high engineering standards.

Qualifications

  • Electrician with recognised qualifications including 18th Edition
  • Experience operating data centres/critical environments
  • Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills at all levels
  • HVAC/BMS/UPS experience desirable and related safety training

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Data Centre technical operations and infrastructure.
  • Ensure 100% availability and safe operation of building services.
  • Provide technical leadership and supervision to the engineering team.
  • Investigate breaches/incidents and prepare formal reports.
  • Attend site meetings with the client and coordinate safety/compliance activities.
  • Oversee training and development of engineers, ensuring CBRE safety rules.
