Job summary

Ramboll is seeking an Associate/Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design for datacentre projects in the UK. You will manage engineers, guide technical work, and deliver complex cooling, ventilation, and control systems with a strong client focus.

You will collaborate across disciplines within the Buildings department, developing capabilities in CFD and sustainable design while driving high standards of technical delivery and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Qualified Engineer with demonstrable track record
• Experience in datacentre or mission critical environments
• Working towards IEng/CEng status
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Experience with digital/parametric design tools

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical delivery on datacentre projects
• Coordinate with electrical counterpart and lead client-facing aspects
• Produce detailed designs and guide junior engineers
• Use CAD/Bluebeam and perform relevant calculations
• Inspire confidence internally and with clients
• Plan and manage project delivery timelines
