Job summary

Ramboll seeks an Associate/Principal Mechanical Engineer for Data Centre facilities in London. You will lead mechanical design delivery, coordinating with electrical teams and guiding engineers to meet project needs while maintaining high client service standards.

The role focuses on developing resilient cooling, ventilation, automation and ancillary systems, while expanding knowledge in CFD and sustainable design for modern data centres.

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer with proven track record in their discipline.
• Experience with mission critical systems within datacentre or similar critical engineering environments.
• Engineering degree accredited by a recognised body, or an HNC with progression plans.
• Aim for IEng or CEng status.
• Excellent communication; ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Interest in digital and parametric design tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead Ramboll on Datacentre projects, managing your discipline and allied engineers.
• Drive project delivery with minimal supervision on technical aspects.
• Use CAD, Bluebeam and BIM tools to develop solutions and deliver designs.
• Complete detailed designs and supervise others.
• Inspire confidence internally and with clients to strengthen relationships.
• Manage project delivery timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate tasks as mechanical lead to meet deadlines and allocate resources.
