Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Shift Engineer for LVAP in our Data Centre Solutions team in London. You will support control and supervision of planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring work aligns with site policies and safety requirements.

On site you will report to the Shift Manager, enable safe, high-quality maintenance, and contribute to a strong team culture while maintaining professional client-facing conduct and life-long learning in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Hold LV Authorised Person status or working towards it.
• Current Wiring Regulations certificate.
• Level 3 NVQ in associated discipline.
• Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.
• Experienced in real time incident / fault management in a business-critical environment.
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a similar organisation.
• Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations with regard to maintenance activities.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Numerate & literate.
• Show diligence in safe working both for themselves and occupants of the premises.
• Self-motivated, with a high level of personal integrity.
• Able to work well both in a team and alone.
• Organised, able to prioritise and deliver within high-pressure environments.
• Courteous and presentable as the role is both front and back of house, with exposure to the client at all levels.
• Able to ascend and descend vertical access equipment.
• Incumbents must be flexible regarding working hours.
• PASMA & IPAF Preferred
• Knowledge of multiple interlinked systems (Fire, PMS BMS)

Responsibilities

• Ensure routine maintenance is carried out on building plant, equipment and systems to meet SLAs.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs.
• Issue and control permits to work.
• Create and use switching schedules, SOPs and EOPs per policy.
• Maintain Evaporative Cooling and domestic water systems per L8 standards.
• Keep REALM task sheets for maintenance records.
• Prepare RAMS for in-house tasks.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure contractual compliance.
• Foster relationships with CBRE staff and client personnel.
• Maintain safe, healthy working environment per policies and client site rules.
• Present a professional CBRE image to clients and visitors.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and learning.
• Ensure training records are up to date.
• Support a strong team culture.
