Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a DC Shift Technician to provide engineering support for client data centres. You will oversee HV/LV operations, manage permits, monitor PPM tasks, and coordinate an engineering team on a 24/7 shift.

The role requires a strong technical background in building services, safe systems of work, and leadership capabilities. You will report to the Building Supervisor and work on site at Longcross Chertsey, contributing to uptime and safety standards across critical

Qualifications

• HV and LV knowledge and safe systems of work
• Compliance with health, safety and site procedures
• Experience in data centre environments preferred
• Ability to coordinate shifts and manage permits
• Strong report writing and handover skills

Responsibilities

• Provide sickness and holiday cover for shift team
• Control and manage campus permit systems and safe work procedures
• Monitor PPM system and update plant records
• First point of escalation during shift
• Ensure health and safety legislation is followed
• Oversee inspection logs for equipment and QA processes
• Prepare monthly permit reports with site management
• Supervise and coordinate engineering team on PPM and reactive works
• Coordinate SSP visits and ensure SOPs/PTWs are in place
• Maintain shift handovers and keep plant areas clean and organized
• Ensure parts are clearly stated and reported if issues arise
• Ensure all works are inspected before permit closures
• Lead engineering team to deliver timely maintenance and repairs
