Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in Slough is seeking a Data Centre Technician to join the team. The role supports control and supervision of planned and reactive maintenance alongside the Data Centre Engineer, ensuring work is carried out to site policies and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • LV Authorised Person status or working towards it.
  • Current Wiring Regulations certificate.
  • Level 3 NVQ in associated discipline.
  • Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification.
  • Real time incident / fault management in a business-critical environment.
  • Sound understanding of health and safety obligations with maintenance activities.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Numerate and literate.
  • Self-motivated with high personal integrity.
  • Able to work well in a team and alone.
  • Organised, able to prioritise and perform under pressure.
  • Front and back of house presence, client exposure.
  • Able to ascend/descend vertical access equipment.
  • Flexible regarding working hours.
  • PASMA & IPAF Preferred.
  • Knowledge of interlinked systems (Fire, PMS BMS).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure routine maintenance on building plant, equipment and systems to meet service levels.
  • Respond to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs.
  • Issue controls within Permit to Work and ensure safe operating procedures.
  • Create and use switching schedules, SOPs and EOPs per SSOW.
  • Maintain Evaporative Cooling and domestic water systems per L8 standards.
  • Keep maintenance records using REALM task sheets.
