Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking a Cloud (Data Center) Site Service Engineer to join the team at Canary Wharf, London. The role involves on-site management of data center facilities, including server, storage, and network devices, with 24/7 high-touch support and vendor coordination.

You will handle alarms, environmental monitoring, asset tracking, and inventory while ensuring SLAs and SOX controls are followed within a COLO/DC environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Data Center Services.
• Knowledge of on-site support at data centers and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide Smart Hands support at data center site including 24/7 emergency high touch requests.
• Manage on-site Colocation DC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors.
• Arrange servicing/repair and Preventive Maintenance schedules.
• React to alarms and maintain environmental conditions within limits.
• Manage DC inventory and DCIM tool data.
• Perform break/fix for IT gear within data center.
• Audit and validate infrastructure to meet requirements.
• Generate change management and incident tickets for DC facilities.
• Review COLO/DC contracts and ensure SLAs are met.
• Liaise with COLO/DC management for daily operations.
