Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Chartered Principal Electrical Engineer with data centre construction administration experience to lead electrical scopes and manage project delivery across UK sites, including London Aldgate and St Albans. You will mentor engineers and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to drive innovative, sustainable electrical design solutions.

The role requires strong client liaison, regulatory knowledge, and readiness to travel regionally and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

Post Graduate experience in a building services design role with focus on data centres.
Familiar with relevant regulations, standards and industry good practice requirements.
Able to liaise with clients, project managers and contractors.

Responsibilities

Project planning and management
Provide specialised technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Preparation of contract documentation and specifications.
Estimating and cost control on projects.
Manage own workload and meet deadlines on task assigned.
Mentoring and development of junior and intermediate engineers in the group.
Present technical solutions to clients and peers
Attend design team and coordination meetings where required.
Attend site inspection meetings where required.
