Job summary

AECOM is seeking a chartered Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for data centres from London Aldgate Tower. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, deliver design solutions, and liaise with clients and stakeholders to drive project success.

The role requires post-graduate building services experience in data centres, proficiency with ETAP/Relux/ Dialux, MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit, and willingness to travel internationally as needed. A hybrid working model is supported.

Qualifications

• Post graduate experience in a building services design role with data centre focus.
• Conversant with ETAP, Relux/Dialux, MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit.
• Familiar with relevant regulations, standards and industry good practice.
• Willing and able to travel to projects; holds a clean driving licence and passport.
• Security clearance may be required on some projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design across data centre projects.
• Provide technical input to studies and design in your area of expertise.
• Prepare contract documentation and specifications.
• Support cost estimating and project controls.
• Manage own workload and meet deadlines.
• Compile technical project reports.
• Present technical solutions to clients and peers.
• Contribute to technical proposals.
• Attend design team meetings and site visits.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other design team members.
• Mentor junior engineers in the group.
