Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Chartered Principal Electrical Engineer with data centre experience to lead electrical scopes and project delivery from our UK offices. You will guide a team of engineers, liaise with clients and partners, and contribute to innovative, sustainable design solutions across data centre facilities.

The role requires post graduate electrical engineering experience, strong leadership, and ability to travel internationally as projects demand. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate experience in building services design with data centres.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Familiar with regulations and RIBA plan stages.
• Full driving licence and ability to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for data centre projects and coordinate with wider teams.
• Prepare specifications, contract documents and cost controls.
• Mentor junior engineers and present solutions to clients.
• Attend design reviews, site inspections and client meetings.
