Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Chartered Principal Electrical Engineer with data centre construction administration experience to lead electrical scopes on major data centre projects in the UK. The role combines technical leadership with mentoring, client engagement and cross-disciplinary collaboration across offices in London and St Albans.

The ideal candidate will have postgraduate experience in building services design, strong knowledge of ETAP, Relux/Dialux, MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit, and be

Qualifications

• Postgraduate experience in building services design with focus on data centres.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams in large projects.
• Familiar with relevant regulations, standards and good practice for building services.
• Strong client liaison, communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel regionally and internationally; valid passport and driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Project planning and management of electrical scopes.
• Provide specialised technical input to studies and design for staff's area of expertise.
• Preparation of contract documentation and specifications.
• Estimating and cost control on projects.
• Manage own workload and meet deadlines on tasks assigned.
• Compile technical project reports.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers in the group.
• Present technical solutions to clients and peers.
• Participate in development of technical proposals.
• Attend design team and coordination meetings as required.
• Attend site inspection meetings and liaise with clients and contractors.
