Job summary

AECOM’s Data Centre MEP team in the UK is seeking a Chartered Principal Electrical Engineer with data centre construction administration experience to lead projects and deliverables. You will oversee electrical scopes within multi-disciplinary teams across London and St Albans offices and liaise with clients, PMs and contractors.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive technical excellence, and ensure compliance with industry standards while handling site visits and design reviews.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate experience in a building services design role with data centres focus.
• Experience with ETAP, Relux/Dialux, MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ability to liaise with clients, project managers and contractors.
• Familiar with regulations, standards and industry good practice requirements, able to produce designs for all stages of RIBA plan of work.

Responsibilities

• Project planning and management
• Provide specialised technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Preparation of contract documentation and specifications.
• Estimating and cost control on projects.
• Manage own workload and meet deadlines on task assigned.
• Compiling technical project reports
• A self-starter who can use own initiative and a problem solver
• Present technical solutions to clients and peers
• Participate in development of technical proposals
• Attend design team and coordination meetings where required.
• Attend site inspection meetings where required.Liaise with clients, professional organizations, contractors, suppliers, sub-contractors and other design team members.
• Mentoring and development of junior and intermediate engineers in the group.
