Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Principal Architect to lead multi-disciplinary design for large data centre and infrastructure projects. The role is based with a preferred Belfast hub and involves collaboration with teams across the UK and Europe.

You will drive design quality, manage complex timelines, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with clients and other disciplines. Flexibility exists with hybrid work options and travel across regions.

Qualifications

• Fully Qualified Architect (ARB Registered) with extensive multi-disciplinary project experience.
• Proven ability to lead design teams across large infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of UK Building Systems, Standards and Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead designer within a multi-disciplinary team for large-scale projects.
• Coordinate design across architecture and engineering disciplines.
• Ensure governance and delivery within budgets and timelines.
• Prepare reports, coordinate with vendors and client interfaces.
• Mentor junior staff and lead design quality reviews.
• Support bids and business development activities.
