Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Principal Architect to lead design across multidisciplinary teams for large-scale data centre and infrastructure projects. Based in Belfast with flexible options, you will coordinate architects and engineers across Europe, ensuring compliant, high-quality delivery within tight deadlines.

Fully ARB‑registered with a strong design management background, you will oversee design information through RIBA stages, mentor junior staff and support bids and fee proposals.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified ARB-registered architect with proven experience on large multi-disciplinary design projects.
• Strong design and coordination across disciplines; ability to lead design teams.
• Good knowledge of UK Building Systems, Standards and Regulations; IT-literate with CAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead designer within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Coordinate design across architectural and engineering disciplines.
• Ensure governance and compliance at bid and delivery stages.
• Mentor junior staff and manage design delivery to deadlines.
• Assist in bids and fee proposals; support business development.
