Job summary

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) at Amazon Data Services UK Limited is hiring a Data Centre Technician to join a team responsible for the design, delivery and operation of AWS global infrastructure. You will troubleshoot, document SOPs, and escalate when needed while supporting 24/7 operations across sites.

You will gain hands-on experience with Linux systems, rack and power equipment, and work with on-call rotations to ensure uptime and reliability for customers of AWS.

Qualifications

• Experience in networking and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with Linux.
• Can reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of system reliability by prioritising and resolving trouble tickets efficiently
• Escalation point and technical troubleshooter for all Systems and problems
• Deep diving into Linux server issues
• XEN service virtualization troubleshooting
