Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Shift Manager for our Data Centre Solutions team in Slough. You will oversee planned and reactive maintenance, coordinate shift teams, and ensure work complies with site policies, health and safety legislation, and client requirements.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and hands-on technical knowledge of building plant, cooling and water systems, and safety documentation.

Qualifications

• HV authorisation and safety compliance are required.
• Real-time incident/fault management experience in a critical environment.
• Experience in a similar role within a similar organization.
• Knowledge of health and safety obligations for maintenance.
• Good verbal communication and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure routine maintenance to plant, equipment, and systems to meet SLAs.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Oversee permit-to-work processes and vendor controls.
• Create and utilise switching schedules, SOPs, and EOPs in line with policies.
• Maintain cooling and domestic water systems per L8 standard.
• Supervise shift teams and ensure safe working practices.
• Maintain stock of spares and manage RAMS and job packs.
• Incident management for unplanned incidents/faults on site.
• Coordinate training and mentoring of the shift team.
• Liaise with CBRE staff and clients to uphold professional image.
