Job summary

Public Services Delivery Scotland is seeking a Data & Analytics Technician to join the Data & Analytics function, supporting national digital and data services across NHS Scotland and the wider public sector. The role contributes to data pipelines, data warehousing, and analytics outputs to support decision-making across health and care services.

You will translate requirements into robust technical solutions, work with ETL/ELT processes, and contribute to enterprise BI platforms while

Qualifications

Practical experience or training in developing BI or data solutions.
Demonstrable SQL skills, and exposure to Python.
An understanding of data warehousing and data lakehouse concepts and data pipeline development.
Ability to interpret technical requirements and contribute to the development of innovative data and analytical solutions.
Experience of delivering work to agreed plans, timescales and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of data pipelines, data warehousing solutions, and analytical outputs.
Support ETL/ELT processes development and optimisation.
Build reports and dashboards for critical decision-making across health and care services.
Engage with a modern data technology stack and cloud platforms to deliver robust solutions.
