Job summary

Public Services Delivery Scotland is seeking a Technical Analyst to support national data services across NHS Scotland. You will translate business needs into robust data specifications, work with large datasets, and contribute to data modelling and pipelines within an Agile environment.

The role sits in the Data & Analytics team, collaborating with technical colleagues, delivery teams, and stakeholders to ensure data quality and scalable solutions. Hybrid working in Glasgow/Edinburgh is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in business and technical analysis, including requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation.
• Translate business needs into clear, accurate technical specifications.
• Experience working with large, complex datasets, including data profiling and data quality assessment.
• Strong understanding of data structures, data warehousing concepts, and backend data processes.

Responsibilities

• Define and document data requirements, mappings and transformation logic for data pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
• Support development teams with robust, implementable specifications to enable scalable data solutions.
• Work across the full delivery lifecycle from shaping requirements to validation in Agile/DevOps environments.
