Job summary

NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) is seeking a Data & Analytics Technician to support the national data services across NHS Scotland and the wider public sector. The role involves designing, building and supporting data, BI and analytics solutions, including data pipelines, warehousing and analytical outputs to assist critical decision making.

You will work with a modern data tech stack, including cloud-based platforms, and collaborate with analysts and delivery colleagues to deliver projects

Qualifications

• Experience developing BI or data solutions.
• Strong SQL skills and exposure to Python.
• Understanding of data warehousing and data lakehouse concepts and data pipeline development.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and contribute to innovative data solutions.
• Experience delivering work to planned timelines and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and support data, BI and analytics solutions across NSS/NES.
• Develop data pipelines, data warehouses and analytical outputs for decision making.
• Build and maintain reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Contribute to enterprise BI platforms and project delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with technical specialists and service delivery colleagues to translate requirements.
