Job summary

VWFS is offering an undergraduate Data Analytics & Insight placement in Milton Keynes. The 12-13 month FTC starts mid-year, with a hybrid policy requiring office presence three days per week and possible additional days as needed.

You will work on reporting across Operations, Fleet and Commercial channels, handling data from multiple sources and tools to deliver clear insights for leadership action.

Qualifications

• Studying towards an analytical, scientific or numerate degree.
• Advanced PC literacy, especially Excel for reporting requirements.
• Experience with Tableau or other data visualisation tools desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with large data sets.
• Curious, inquisitive and able to challenge processes.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently or in a team.
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.

About The Role

Contract: 12-13months FTC Start dates are usually in June/July

Hybrid working: We want you to get the best out of your placement, so we operate a hybrid policy where undergraduates work in the office 3 days per week. There may be times where you will need to be in more frequently depending on the needs of the business.

We’re looking for two undergraduates to join our Customer & Product Transformation team as a Data Analytics & Insight Undergraduate where you will help deliver reporting and management information across Operations, Fleet and Commercial channels. You will work with data sources, Tableau, reporting tools and a variety of stakeholders to create reliable insight that is easy to interpret and supports leadership action. What are we looking for?

• Studying towards an analytical, scientific or numerate related degree.
• Advanced PC literacy, especially Excel for reporting requirements.
• Experience with Tableau or other data visualisation tools would be desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with large data sets.
• Curious and inquisitive, with the confidence to ask questions and challenge existing processes.
• Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
• Strong time management and ability to meet strict deadlines.

What our recruitment process looks like:

• You’ll be invited to complete a Situational Judgement Test. This is a short multiple-choice question set to help us understand how you may approach situations.
• If you pass this stage, you will be invited to complete an online video interview where you will have the opportunity to tell us more about yourself.
• If successful, your last step in the journey is to attend an in-person Assessment Centre at our Milton Keynes office. You’ll also meet some of our managers and our current undergraduates to find out more about a placement year with us.
