Job summary

Town and Country Housing is seeking an organised and proactive Planner to join the Damp & Mould team. You will schedule repairs, coordinate operatives and contractors, manage appointments and maintain records to deliver high-quality service to residents.

This full-time on-site role in Tunbridge Wells runs 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday. The position requires Excel/Word/Outlook proficiency, excellent communication, and a strong customer focus within social housing repairs.

Our Vacancy

We’re looking for an organised and customer-focused Planner to join our Damp & Mould team. In this vital role, you’ll help ensure repairs and maintenance work is scheduled efficiently, supporting our operatives, supervisors and managers to deliver an excellent service to residents. You’ll play a key part in coordinating resources, managing appointments, and helping us achieve our performance targets while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

What You Will Do

As a Planner, you’ll be responsible for scheduling and coordinating repairs and maintenance works, ensuring the right operatives and contractors are allocated to the right jobs at the right time. You’ll manage appointments, monitor work progress, maintain accurate records across multiple systems, and help maximise first-time fixes. Working closely with supervisors, managers, operatives, contractors and clients, you’ll ensure works are delivered efficiently, performance targets are achieved, and residents receive a high-quality service. You’ll also support complaint resolution, monitor workflows, report trends, and assist in driving continuous service improvement.

What You Will Need

To be successful in this role, you’ll have previous planning or scheduling experience and excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be confident using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal. You’ll be a proactive team player who can also work independently, using your problem-solving skills to help keep services running smoothly. Experience within social housing repairs and maintenance would be an advantage but is not essential.

This is a full-time permanent position, working on site 8am-5pm Monday-Friday in our head office in Tunbridge Wells.
