Job summary

Remedy Education in the UK is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-resourced SEN school in Harlow/Essex, supporting both primary and secondary pupils.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, help with communication and emotional regulation, follow EHCP targets, and work closely with teachers and SENCOs to maintain a calm, inclusive learning environment. This full-time, long-term role offers ongoing consultant support and a real opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach.
  • Willing to support personal care where needed.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
  • Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
  • Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
  • Assisting with personal care where required.
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
  • Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Harlow/Essex that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible.

  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)Both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and strong mainstream TAs looking to move into a specialist setting are encouraged to apply.
