Job summary

Remedy Education is assisting a well-resourced SEN school in Epping/Ongar to hire a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant. You will provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes, helping pupils with communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.

The role requires following EHCP targets, supporting personal care where needed, and working closely with teachers and external professionals to maintain a calm, positive learning environment and promote

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Epping/Ongar that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible.

The Role

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning

• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils
• Willing to support personal care where needed
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
