A caring family in Greater London is seeking a Daily Nanny to support their three young daughters as Mum returns to work. This role includes managing school and nursery runs, preparing meals, and keeping the home organized. The ideal candidate will have Norland training or equivalent, possess excellent references, and be a confident cook. A friendly, easy-going attitude is essential to thrive in this sociable family environment, prioritizing fun and community engagement.
Role: Daily Nanny
Hours: Monday & Tuesday 8 am - 7 pm, Wednesday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm (flexibility for a 9 am start on Friday mornings)
Location: Earlsfield, London
Start Date: End of March
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
A lovely family in Earlsfield are looking for a nanny to join them as Mum returns to work in April. They are a relaxed, friendly household with three girls aged 5 (Year 1), almost 3, and 8 months. The role is sole charge, with Dad working from home on Fridays but based quietly in his office.
The eldest child is in Year 1, and the middle child is due to start nursery at the same school from September (likely full-time, pending confirmation), which will mean more sole charge of the baby alongside wraparound care for the older two. The nanny will be responsible for school and nursery runs, all of which are nearby and within walking distance.
They are seeking a Norland-trained nanny or someone of equivalent experience, with excellent references. This is a sociable family with a strong community around them - lots of friends nearby, regular playdates, and a network of local nannies, so they would love someone confident and happy to host as well as attend playdates. Mum is very open to the children attending playgroups and after-school activities. Local knowledge of Earlsfield, Clapham or Wandsworth would be ideal.
The family values routine, but is not overly regimented. The girls sleep well, and the focus is on having fun, enjoying experiences, and not rushing through the day simply to stick to the clock when out on a day trip. A sense of humour, emotional intelligence and the ability to read the room are very important - particularly during busy mornings, where someone intuitive will thrive. They are looking for a career nanny who takes pride in their role, is easy-going, positive, and genuinely enjoys what they do.
The nanny should be a confident cook, able to batch cook and manage children's meals. A cleaner attends their home for six hours per week, but the nanny will be expected to keep on top of child-related tidying, including the playroom and kitchen, prepare clothes for the following day, ensure homework is done and accessible, and manage the children's laundry and wardrobes. Mum is particularly keen to onboard someone who can manage the admin and practicalities of the children's lives, allowing her to fully enjoy quality time with the girls once she's home from work.
A driver is preferred but not essential, although occasional local driving to Wimbledon Common and Wisley Gardens would be helpful. The family does not require the nanny to travel with them during holidays.
