Position

Allspring is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join the Allspring Engineering and Technology (AllspringET) Information Security team. The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for interfacing with internal customers to manage deviations from standard security policies and procedures within Allspring. The Cybersecurity Analyst will help Allspring strike a balance between security and business needs by ensuring exceptions are carefully managed and do not compromise our overall security posture.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities
  • Review all security exceptions, focusing on key factors such as business requirements, potential risks, and alternative options.
  • Ensure all exceptions include appropriate detail, proper approvals, and are documented properly.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization regarding the status of security exceptions that are pending or require additional information.
  • Understand the risk and compliance culture of Allspring to ensure that any approved security exceptions do not materially degrade the overall security posture of the company.
  • Think critically about proposed exceptions and evaluate potential alternative solutions.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of automated workflow tools as well as other security and technology software.
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher MIS, CS or other technology related field OR equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 1-3 years of engineering and technology experience, preferably in Financial Services, Technology, or related field
  • Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize duties to meet deadlines with limited supervision
  • Proven strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Position may require occasional travel outside of primary work location
  • Ability to interact confidently with counterparts at all levels within the firm
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated ability collaborate with teams spanning a range of locations
