Job summary

Field Solutions Group is seeking a Head of Cyber Security to lead a growing practice based in Hertford with hybrid UK travel. This is a build role where you will own the strategy, the commercial model, the partner ecosystem and work closely with our salespeople to win business.

You will spend a lot of time in front of clients, shaping offerings and ensuring delivery excellence as the practice scales within the group. This is a high-visibility, growth-focused leadership opportunity.

Qualifications

• A track record of building or scaling a cyber security practice, ideally in an MSP, reseller or channel business.
• Commercial mindset comfortable owning numbers, pricing and margin, not just technology.
• Credible in front of clients and able to teach people who are not technical.
• Established network across UK cyber vendors and distributors.
• Certifications such as CISSP or CISM are welcome, but attitude and results matter more.

Responsibilities

• Train and upskill the wider sales team so they can spot, qualify and open cyber conversations.
• Act as the expert on client calls and in bids translating technical risk into commercial language.
• Work with marketing on propositions, collateral and campaigns that convert.
• Define the service portfolio, target markets and three-year growth plan for the practice.
• Keep us ahead of the threat landscape, regulation and where the market is moving.
• Select, negotiate and manage the vendor and distributor relationships that underpin the stack.
• Own the build-versus-buy calls on tooling and platforms.
• Build pricing and packaging models recurring-revenue led, with margin you can defend.
• Take responsibility for the practice P&L, deal profitability and forecast.
• Design the delivery and support model, then recruit and develop the team behind it.
• Set the standards, processes and escalation paths as the client base scales.
