Job summary

GAC Group is seeking an Operations Coordinator - Customs in Teesside to manage import/export declarations and related documentation in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will liaise with customers, carriers and customs authorities to ensure compliance and smooth freight movement.

Qualifications

• 1 year in customs clearance
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to produce and maintain accurate documents
• Ability to prioritise workloads and solve problems
• Competent user of Microsoft Office
• Experience using ASM Sequoia preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import/export declarations for timely movement of freight
• Prepare and manage customs and shipping documentation per HMRC rules
• Act as contact for customers, suppliers, carriers and customs authorities
• Maintain records, costings and invoicing information
• Monitor shipment progress and resolve customs-related issues
• Build relationships and drive continuous improvement in customs operations
