Job summary

GAC Group seeks a Shipping Agent based in Teesside to join our global team. You will book vessels, capture port call costs, visit vessels and handle local requirements, while building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Flexibility includes 24/7 coverage to serve our customers, with training provided. The role requires proactive safety mindset and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and a valid UK driving license.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks; produce and maintain accurate documents.
• Proactive safety culture awareness.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Booking vessels in and out of port with relevant stakeholders.
• Capturing accurate costs incurred during port calls.
• Visiting vessels and handling local requirements.
• Maintaining good relations with customers and stakeholders.
