Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Customs Process Administrator (CPA) to coordinate and manage customs services within a team, from order acceptance to release of goods.

The CPA will handle declarations, data reporting, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders; weekend work may be required and shift patterns may apply.

Qualifications

  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant customs experience or certification is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of local customs authorities is an asset.
  • Familiarity with customs software is a plus.
  • Outlook and Microsoft applications at user level.
  • Customer-facing abilities with high customer orientation.
  • Team engagement and support.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and perform customs clearances including certificates; identify issues and offer solutions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all Import & Export declarations and Transit Movements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all financial activities relevant to Customs House Brokerage.
  • Collate and present data reports to Management, Customers, Internal Stakeholders, Compliance and Implementation Teams.
  • Ensure that all local customs authorities’/statutory requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Maintain a first-class business relationship with all customers and internal stakeholders for the team.
  • Be an active team member who exchanges knowledge and expertise.
  • Proactively lead or actively participate in customs-related projects.
  • Ensure training is completed to cover all accounts in the team.
  • Engender team spirit and staff engagement.
