Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Customs Implementation Project Manager to lead onboarding of new customers into our Customs Services. You will manage end-to-end implementations, coordinating Commercial, Product, Operations, Digital, and Customer Success teams to deliver on time and with impact.

You will drive process design, SOP development and continuous improvement, while maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring seamless handover to operations.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience in Customs, Freight Forwarding, Logistics, International Trade, or Supply Chain.
• Strong stakeholder management across multiple functions and levels.
• Customer-focused mindset and ability to manage expectations.
• Excellent planning, organization and execution skills.
• Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead customs implementation projects from initiation to operational handover.
• Deliver projects per Maersk methodologies, timelines, and customer requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (Commercial, Product, Operations, Digital, Customer Success).
• Manage risks, dependencies, actions and governance for successful outcomes.
• Provide regular updates and executive-level reporting to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure seamless handover to operational teams with documentation and readiness assessments.
• Act as primary customer contact throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Translate customer requirements into operational processes.
• Balance commercial, operational and customer objectives throughout projects.
• Develop SOPs and implementation plans; drive continuous improvement.
• Support system implementations and digital onboarding activities.
• Collaborate with Digital and Technology teams on customer system requirements.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to operational teams.
• Support new business opportunities with operational readiness.
