Based at our Durham Gate offices, we’re recruiting for a Customer Services Agent to join our Northern team, which covers the whole of the UK, supplying a diverse customer base. Working for the largest independent construction materials business in the UK and Ireland, you will have the opportunity to engage with your customers directly, building strong relationships without excessive red tape.
As a Customer Services Agent, you will be a key member of our Commercial team, focused on providing excellent customer service and support to our Building Products division. Your responsibilities include handling inbound customer inquiries, pricing, chasing, and winning orders. You will process incoming orders through our new Ecommerce website, respond to customer inquiries, and track orders, ensuring smooth communication with stakeholders until delivery.
You’ll be responsible for delivering an excellent customer experience—from accurate pricing and technical support to ensure the correct product is supplied, to order processing, distribution, and after-sales care. You will coordinate delivery with customers, operations, and transport teams via phone and email, ensuring our market-leading self-binding gravels and decorative aggregates are delivered efficiently. Your goal is to uphold high customer service standards, deliver on promises, and optimize commercial performance.
Experience or knowledge of the building products industry is beneficial but not essential.
