Customer Service Executive
Type: Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Location: Staines area
Working pattern: Hybrid - 3 days office based, 2 days home based 8.30am - 5.00pm
We are recruiting for our client, an established international business, for an experienced Customer Service Executive to join a collaborative customer service team. This varied B2B role focuses on managing customer orders from receipt through to delivery, keeping customers informed and working closely with colleagues across the wider operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer orders from receipt through to delivery, maintaining accurate records and taking ownership of progress.
- Act as a key point of contact for an allocated portfolio of business customers, handling queries and providing proactive updates.
- Monitor open orders and coordinate solutions when availability, transport or other operational issues affect delivery.
- Review ordering patterns and share relevant changes with planning and supply colleagues.
- Prepare and maintain the documentation required for international and export orders.
- Build strong customer relationships and work closely with sales, planning, supply chain, logistics and finance colleagues.
- Manage customer complaints professionally, coordinating follow-up, returns where applicable and communication through to closure.
- Contribute ideas that improve service quality and simplify customer administration processes.
Requirements:
- Around 2-4 years' professional experience in customer service, order management or a similar B2B environment.
- Experience supporting customers within an international or multi-site business environment.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage several priorities at once.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience using a CRM, ERP, order-processing or similar business system, and/or additional language skills. (Desirable)
