Job summary

IKEA Leeds is hiring a Customer Service Assistant to join our friendly team. You’ll be the welcoming face and supportive voice, turning challenges into solutions in a people-first environment of a global brand focused on simplicity and sustainability.

You will assist at checkouts and returns, greet customers warmly, and resolve issues with calm, proactive help during shifts from 10:00 to 21:30, four days per week with some weekends; flexibility is welcome.

Qualifications

• You have a customer-first mindset and make customers feel valued.
• You are computer literate and able to work with technology.
• You can maintain composure when dealing with a variety of customers and complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Work at checkouts and returns desk to support customers promptly.
• Greet and welcome customers with warmth to set a positive shopping experience.
• Use problem-solving skills to resolve complaints quickly and positively.
• Ensure accurate handling of all returned products and escalate issues when needed.
