Job summary

Wickes in Ipswich is recruiting for a part-time Customer Service Assistant. You will greet customers, answer questions and guide them to the products they need, delivering a welcoming store experience.

You’ll be part of a busy team, with training and development opportunities, a benefits package, and the chance to progress within a down-to-earth retailer known for a friendly approach to service.

The Role

Whatever your role in and around the store, everything you do will be focused on the customer experience. Parking will be a breeze, trolleys in easy reach, help always at hand, stock in the right place, deliveries out on time and payment met with a smile.

Of course, while you’re creating a helpful and friendly customer experience, we’ll be thinking of new ways to reward, develop and invest in you. You’ll receive all the training, support and opportunities you need. Think of it as a down‑to‑earth place to work, where you get to go up in the world. This is a part‑time role, consisting of 21 hours a week. You will be expected to work one weekend shift, with 3 shifts during the week.

About You

Every day you’ll be dealing with and assisting customers, so it’s important that you offer every person that walks through our doors a high level of customer service.
