Customer Services and Operations Advisor (Gourmet Food)

Location: Stratford - Office based

Salary: £32,000-34,000

Our client is one of the UK's most prestigious gourmet food delivery businesses, serving a wide range of longstanding customers, including corporate clients.

This is a varied and busy customer support role, acting as a key contact within the business and building strong relationships with customers via phone and email.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing daily administration tasks, including order processing, shipping documentation, and customer communications.
  2. Handling the info@ inbox and responding to customer queries and website contact forms promptly.
  3. Taking orders over the phone and email, providing excellent customer service, and upselling products.
  4. Responding to customer inquiries in a friendly and timely manner.
  5. Managing customer complaints professionally, maintaining composure during stressful situations, and escalating issues when necessary.
  6. Coordinating courier shipments, ensuring timely delivery, and troubleshooting issues.
  7. Maintaining positive relationships with team members and external partners.
  8. Hiring and training seasonal Christmas support staff.
  9. Supporting marketing efforts, including pre-planning marketing schedules.
  10. Generating sales reports.
  11. Collaborating with the team to ensure smooth daily operations and process improvements.
  12. Updating the WordPress website with new products, following seasonal trends.
  13. Communicating website update needs to the web team.
  14. Editing automated email communications.
  15. Managing corporate orders, building relationships with businesses, and creating bespoke orders and gifts.
  16. Outreach to new and existing corporate clients.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and an interest in gourmet food. Benefits include free Friday lunch, regular food tastings, and a collaborative work culture.

This role is fully office-based, located near Stratford with many shops and restaurants nearby.

Salary depends on experience.
