Job summary

Travail Employment Group is seeking a Customer Service Advisor for a part-time role in Oakham. The position runs 9am–5pm, 2–3 days per week, with hybrid working options and pro rata salary of £26,325 per year.

The role is customer-facing, phone-led with emails and occasional live chat. You will handle renewals, changes and claims, maintain records, and deliver a high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Customer Service Advisor - part time

We are currently looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join our clients award winning family friendly team in Oakham, Rutland. Our client has won in their category 6 years running and has a rating 4.5* on Trustpilot, proving their customer service in this industry is second to none.

This role is a part time role working 9am - 5pm but only 2 / 3 days per week.

This role is very phone bias, customers are most likely to call in enquiries and orders so you must be used to handling calls, as well as emails and occasional live chat.

Your main duties as Customer Service Advisor:

• Maintain accuracy and keep customer records fully up to date.
• Handle inbound calls from customers regarding renewals, changes and claims
• Responding to emails in a prompt and timely manner
• Follow FCA guidelines (training provided)
• Be knowledgeable regarding product ranges and services to effectively assist enquiries by telephone and email. (training on products provided)
• Provide a professional, warm and high quality customer experience in a fast paced environment.

Essential skills/traits to demonstrate as Customer Service Advisor:

• Previous relevant inbound customer service experience in both verbal and written communication.
• Fluent English with exceptional verbal communication skills.
• Someone who can keep on top of things, prioritise and keep a level head
• manage time effectively and deliver excellent customer service
• A proficient computer user (capable and experienced in the use of email, word processing, spreadsheets and handling data).

This role offers ongoing training and coaching, with all expenses paid and training at their sister office every other week for 2 weeks in the first month.
